Anyone been on the official site forums? Not very impressed with 'em I must say. If you don't have firefox you can't view or post properly. Why on earth such a big business would do something so half assed is beyond me. I'm sorry, but my site, AstonVillaFan.Com, and this site heroesandvillains.net are twice as good, and we're just fans doing these sites ourselves. We didn't pay top designers to do this stuff, so why the Villa's official site is crap, I don't know. It's really the only complaint I have about the club. I love everything else that has been updated. The ground, the shop, the new signs, obviously the football side of things, but the website is just down right awful. Millions of people from around the world will see it and probably never go back! internet fact: a person visiting a new website will decide within under 2 seconds if they are going to stay and click around on your site, or if they're going to leave. So you have 2 seconds to impress that new visitor, 2 seconds! That's all! I bet more people will leave the official site than click around on it. Ok, sorry about that, rant over. I'm just disapointed with it, that's all.
I'm probably disapointed with it because I've started my own small web design business, iSleekDesigns.com. I design and maintain websites for small business'. So I know the options out there for web design, and the Villa didn't follow most of the rules that should have been followed.
And finally some actual Villa talk. Good win up at smogsboro over the weekend. Didn't see the match, but I did see the highlights thanks to youtube.com. Brilliant invention that. We looked solid, and wow, what a goal from Olly! Looked like a top class stiker with that effort. Hopefully we can snag another 3 points on the road on Wednesday. I've got a feeling that it'll be a scrappy game against Blackburn though. I won't be too upset if we only come away with a point, but I think at this point we should be coming away with all 3 points against teams like blackburn. Play football, don't get into their bullish ways, and we could very well be celebrating another good win.
About time I changed some of the graphics around this blog eh!? No need for the Ellis Out garb anymore....thank god! And good riddance to ya Doug! I'll have to work on a new header as well, as this one is a bit plain and boring now. In time though.
have a good one all,
Craig
