Return of the King

Have to agree with MAC on this one, the Return of the King is the best fantasy film ever, if not one of the best films ever made bar none. Brilliant action scenes and also some brilliant acting too. Peter Jackson has done a sterling job in bringing these tales to the Big Screen. I had never read the Tolkien books in my youth, so the plot was pretty unknown to me. Even during the 3 hours plus, Luke and me were spellbound. Thinking of going to see it again next week.

Do you think that Birmingham City Council may try and capitalise on Tolkiens' links with the City and the Midlands. Or would that be too much to ask. The films are going to become even more massive and maybe the only serious challenger to Lucas and the Star Wars phenomenon. What a boost to the status of Birmingham if the actually did something concrete that would attract people to come from all over the World to see the City that gave some of the inspiration to the saga. Perhaps the attendances at VP might go up aswell if the Commercial Department at VP were to do combination packages.

All the best to the boys today -  lets break this whodoo. I'm off to the Merry Hell to start my Xmas shopping. Gents, I may be some time.

Johnny Wilkinson ..  don't make me laugh.. this guy should have won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
