That was the week that was !!

Got back from Espana last night on one of these Thomsonfly deals that take you to Coventry Airport. If you think that the City of Cov is a shithole, then the Airport  follows suit. The check ins are poratacabins and they don't serve beer - nuff said. However, it does add to the taste of no frills travel.. Good on them!!

Charlton seems a bit of a debarcle - glad they moved it from the Tuesday to the Wednesday as I would have gone prior to travelling away. Saved me some money there then!. Some guy told me the Newcastle result on the Benalmadena Marina. Me, Luke and Becks were happy, but miffed that we had missed  what seemed like a very good game and a good comeback by the Villa. Nevermind, more of the same please. Phil Tuffnel was walking around the Marina on Saturday evening - wasn't he supposed to be in Jersey filming.

We haven't signed Beattie or anyone for that matter - harldy suprising really and DOL is still crying at the press about his great bunch of lads and the small squad. Where has the £6M gone that was promised for Beattie? is that going to go missing like the £4M Holland money? What really pisses me off  is that we made £8m from the superb finish last year. That should be an approximation of a NET spend for investment in the squad in the close season. Wages and stuff can surely be adjusted and aclimatised for in the coming season with revenue surely.  Ellis as usual seems to slam the gate after the horse has bolted.

Sir Bobby has been sacked then. Personally I think that the treatment that "one of their own" has been given by Freddy Sheppard and the Newcatle board is nigh on disgraceful. Who the hell do they think they are. Sheppard you will remember is the guy that blasted his own set of supporters claiming that they will buy any old shit if it had a Newcatle badge on. What a Tosser. They had a poor start, but they are hardly going down are they. Dellusions of grandeur from FS?

The man you love to hate is now back in Brum. Not only does he sign for Manure and become public enemy number one by upsetting the away support when Villa played them, he has signed for the Knucklegraggers - I wonder how long it will be before he kisses the sour taste of the 2 worlds colliding.
Signing for Manure was for footballing reasons and I came to accept that, however the club that should have been closest to his heart has been laughed at twice now. They are welcome to him. I wonder if Ellis still considers him a "son" now he has become part of the great unwashed. Apparently he signed for the B-lose due to footballing reasons. How the mighty have fallen. Aren't celtic in the Champions league?

Woodward for England ... well at least he would keep his pecker in his boxers and some of the negative tactics that SGE employs would not be used. Would this be a return to long ball tactics or would we get the ball forward and pass the ball  backwards until the keeper boots this to the flyhalf and start all over again. Now that would be a development in world football.
