Another Villa-less weekend
No Villa match - not even on Sunday. So much for the alleged football season.
Even arch-patriot CT agrees. Difficult to get excited for a friendly. More inside news on our South American gem plus some thoughts on Afghanistan.
Herbie Dougal doesn't get bogged down with trivialities like football. The shagmeister attempts to justify his bonus and has a go at Vulture and (surprise, surprise) Frogblog.
We need contributions to Shortland's world cruise. He's back and we lose. As for the site classification - it's probably cos Herbie is sooo sexy
. Nothing to do with sharing a server with Steve Hooker's skintone venture! Or Spanner!!
Blog of the day has to be Le Lapin's quarter term report. Find out who's tops and who's not in JC's view. Cov Uni used to be Lanchester Poli when I were a lad if that helps.
The annoying Mike Parry gets top billing on AV en Francais. The PFA strike, national stadium and HD (no! surely not?) also feature.
The Betting Blog widens the scope to include National Stadium odds. The weekend selections are Sweden (sorry CT!) and Millwall.

Last, and most certainly least, is the on-going H&V newspage squabble that I've been unfortunate enough to be caught in the middle of. In the interests of free speech and stuff here's Peter Bosworth's reply to Mac's reply. The whole thing is just deeply depressing. Two (and the rest) confirmed and influential Ellis-bashers taking lumps out of each other rather than obvious and far more deserving target. For f*ck's sake! Ego or football club? I like both of you but you're both (& the others) getting on my nerves with this. Right and wrong has lost all meaning in this row. If you can't communicate on something approaching common ground then just drop it and dislike each other in private - please. Carrying this on is unravelling a lot of the good anti-Ellis work that the arguing parties (it's not just Peter and Mac) have done. Can't you see that?
