At last it's almost over, this nightmare of a season. Have to admit at the start of the season I was looking forward to playing Sunderland at home as what better game to play for 3 points to achieve european qualification than that. Opps!
Now where did I put my black funeral suit and orange ballons...and don't forget your O'dreary OUT banners please! Don't let the useless fecker get away with it, we WILL go down if he's in charge next season.
Probable team
Difficult one to call this one with O'dreary saying earlier this week that more youth players will get a run out. Given that Agbonlahor, Cahill, Gardner have been add to the established trio of Ridgewell, Davis and Moore, not quite sure who else is left although Sam Williams has been mooted so we'll see although the main 4 strikers plus Gabby have been named in the squad so i'll be suprised if he's in the 16.
As for possible farewell appearences, well I would like UDLC to get a 10 minute run-out and Angel looks another likely candidate from the bench. And hendrie.
Sorensen
Hughes Mellberg Cahill Bouma
Milner McCann Davis Barry
Baros Agbonlahor
Subs: Taylor, UDLC, Angel, Phillips, Hendrie
Match prediction
Villa 2 Sunderland 0
Agbonlahor 34
Angel 78
Come on Villa!

maybe could've got a point out of this one given some good chances against the second meanest defence in the premiership but in reality it dosen't matter.
Liverpool 3 Villa 1
Goal! 4th minute 1-0- Liverpool take the lead early on as Moreintes loses Cahill too easily and sends left footed low strike past Sorensen from 18 yards.
Goal! 58th minute 1-1- The Villa are surprisingly level in the 2nd half with a good goal. Nice lay-off from Angel sees Hughes whip in excellent cross from the right, Angel just misses the ball but Barry taps-in for his second goal running at Anfield in the last two seasons.
Goal! 61st minute 2-1- Alas the lead only predictably lasts for 3 minutes as poor makring allows gerrard to get first to a corner to put Liverpool into the lead.
Goal! 66th minute- Wonder strike from Gerrard from 30 yards to wrap up liverpool victory.
Liverpool: Reina, Kromkamp, Hyypia, Carragher, Traore, Cisse (Sissoko 65), Alonso, Gerrard, Riise (Warnock 74), Crouch (Fowler 62), Morientes.
Subs Not Used: Dudek, Agger.
Goals: Morientes 4, Gerrard 61, 66.
Aston Villa: Sorensen, Hughes, Mellberg, Cahill, Bouma, Davis (Gardner 86), McCann, Barry (Phillips 82), Milner, Baros (Angel 45), Agbonlahor.
Subs Not Used: Taylor, Ridgewell.
Goals: Barry 58.
Att: 44,479.

Is this bloody sorry excuse of a season over yet?! No it isn't as we aren't officially safe from relegation yet.........
Villa 0 City 1
Goal! 72md minute- Poor defending sees Mellberg and Barry not close down vassell and he fires in left footed shot from around 15 yards past an un-sighted Sorensen. Vassell's 4th of the season against Villa (which equates to around half of his total this season.)
Aston Villa: Sorensen, Mellberg, Cahill, Ridgewell (Phillips 76), Hughes, McCann, Barry, Samuel, Milner, Angel, Baros (Agbonlahor 58).
Subs Not Used: Taylor, Bouma, Gardner.
Booked: Ridgewell.
Man City: James, Sommeil, Richards, Dunne, Distin, Sinclair, Reyna, Barton, Riera (Musampa 90), Samaras (Sibierski 45), Vassell (Jihai 87).
Subs Not Used: Weaver, Flood.
Booked: Sommeil.
Goals: Vassell 71.
Att: 26,422
