There's a story today in the supuer soaraway Sun which is reporting that Dwight Yorke would relish a move back to Birmingham to play for the Villa, six years after his somewhat acrimonious move to Man U.
I'm a firm believer of once you've left, you should never go back. In Dwight's case, with the way the move was handled, and the subsequent abuse he always got from the Holte End whenever he came back with Man U or Blackburn, this should be supremely evident.
Another thing would be whether he features in DOL's plans for the season. I would say not, as then the club would be looking backwards, rather than forwards.
However, the flip side is that we all know he's good friends with Doug. wasn't there that quote that he treated Dwight like a son, if I remember rightly?
So if he does come, it will be because of the chairman's interference, rather then a player the manager actually wants.
So Dwight, don't bother coming back. We worshiped you for years, but the way you repaid that adulation will never be forgotten.
Apparently Dunfermline are also looking to sign him.
It's nice in Scotland by the way....

What the hell is going on with the Berson move? Is he coming, is he not. All this mucking around is bizarre to say the least, or is it just a smokescreen as we negotiate to get someone else in?
Either way, the silence from inside VP is deafening.
