2002/2003 What a glorious Season that wasn't. Villa firmly fell back into the 15 team group in the Premiership that rather than see "qualify for the Champions League" as their goal set out "not to get relegated". And how far we fell. The season was a disaster, with the only high points being the re-emergence of Barry, as a quality midfielder and Mellberg as a wonderful defender, who incidently, was the only player in the country to play for every minute of their club's campaign. No mean feat.
