Permanent link to archive for 5/8/07. WEATHER? WHAT WEATHER...

on.jpg:

(in case you're wondering, I do have a copy of the "new logo" but it hasnt caught my attention so far, later maybe)

I intend to keep the gaps between blogs down a lot this year, my expectations are well aroused so far. This will mean more nicer stuff to talk about after all...

As a fine precursor to the season my sister offered me yet another freebie, this time to see the Inter game. After last season's debacles I wouldn't dare though would I?

Well yes I would have loved to, a game we couldn't lose after all. Italian Champions and no bugger would have been upset too deeply (ho ho he said) if we'd not won. But atcherrley, I did have a previous bloody important appointment so I declined with deep regrets...

But lo! From the west on my return home from the trip to Cambridge there was an email. And so good was it that I have decided to Blog it to you, for your enjoyment and merriment.

Dont tell our kid though or she may decide to give me a damned good hiding for sharing it...

Here it is:

Hiya, Well that was a very satisfying afternoon. We played very well and were, for the most part, way better than them; the score line doesn't flatter us at all.

We were 1 - 0 up after about 15mins, Gareth Barry from edge(ish) of the box. Reo-Coker became very familiar with Olivier Dacourt ! They were barging each other all match. The worst thing about the match was that Uriah Rennie was ref & had his usual bad match. He was a whistling and a blowing all the way through!

Laursen played another blinder but had a bit of a hobble in the second half. He scored 3 minutes after the start of the 2nd half - a great header. Gareth Barry as absolutely brilliant all the way through and scored a penalty in the second half. I definitely think the Italians were more than a bit peeved and the latter stages got very bitty and a bit handbags, and I hope they don't rely on scoring from a distance as they were pants at it!!! Still, not every day you can say you beat the Italian Champions, eh? Man U didn't, he he.

Hope your meeting went well, see you soon ?

Well that was good 'un wasnt it?

Cheers all, more later, flop der booodle!

OK, since we have to move with the times, even though I much prefer the old badge, here we are. In with the new...
