I'll start shall I? OK! First: about a hundred Aston Villa fans who travelled to the ends of the earth for their club, brilliant lads and ladies I'm proud of you all! Second: Gareth Barry, another stonking "in yer face" performance, given freely (according to the telly and the papers recently) by a bloke who doesn't know whether he's wearing "the shirt" for the last time or not, but who wants results. How could you knock that performance? Third: Martin O'Neill, a man who has stuck to his guns all through a bad time and come through with a win in his Villa UEFA push at the first bash. Well done Fourth: Hold on to your hats here. A few Liddypool fans seen on telly in the crowd desperately wishing they had the prospect of seeing Mr GB playing for them next week. I suppose they will go back to the wanking tossers who run their club and announce a season of despair for failing (so far) to land a hero... "Ay ay ay, come a'ead our Rafa, gerrin and gerrim ay, ay!" Fifth: Hafnafanahafnawotever for playing as well as you would expect a club that tops (nearly ) their home league. The buggers gave me enough minishocks all through the game. Sixth: NOT the ref who gave more than the usual home bias in far too many decisions Seventh: Our team, all of them worthy of the title "TEAM" not all playing very well yet, but still trying their roe out. Marlon wasnt too bad & the usual players we know and love didn't go and hide, although they were truly lightweight at the back most of the game good work from the subs, this ame wont hurt any of their prospects in the futurs And finally-ish Brad Friedel, not bad for the first game buddy. Keep it up, but clean sheet next time, OK? The goals were nice too and Graham T wasnt TOO doomy Ian Taylor wasnt doomy at all and we get to be on free telly again in a short time. About time!
